About

A desire to bring back memories of a Caribbean sailing trip sparked my interest in photography a number of years ago. Photography workshops in Yosemite, Sequoia National Park, Ghost Ranch, NM and the CSU Summer Arts program inspired me to learn about the camera, and see what was special about nature and ordinary things.  “Literacy through Photography” workshops at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University taught me about photography as a medium of communication that is exciting to children, which I have integrated into my practice as an educational therapist.

My work has been shown in a variety of venues including Yucca Gallery, Old Town, Albuquerque, Gifted Hands Gallery, Madrid, NM, the Ansel Adams Gallery and Yosemite Museum in Yosemite National Park, and in many private collections throughout the county.   The desire to capture and celebrate special moments and places has continued to motivate me and my images attempt to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary with photography.
